The centre prepares new student information packages to assist students in accessing the centre’s services. The packages are divided into two categories: a package for students with learning disabilities and AD/HD as well as a package for those with physical, medical, psychiatric, cognitive or sensory disabilities.

New students with a disability are responsible to provide the CSD with appropriate medical or psychological documentation. Students should begin the process of obtaining documentation as early as possible. If possible you should forward the pre-intake form with your documentation to the office a few days in advance of your appointment. Contact the office to set up an appointment with a disability advisor.

The office will also assist eligible students with the process of arranging a psycho-educational assessment including determining if funding is available. Obtaining an assessment can be a timely process, contact the office as soon as you are accepted to a program to begin the next steps.

All CSD registered students can participate in an annual survey for a chance to win $100 gift certificate to the campus bookstore. To enter go to the Centre of Students with Disabilities website.
