The Student Association at Durham College, UOIT and Trent in Oshawa

Programming

Beginning in the spring, before any of your new SA had taken office, meetings were held with Your SA President Fraser McArthur, VP Campus Life Eric Dillane and the administration of the school to address the lack of student artwork on campus. From that meeting came a proposal to have a student take on a work-study position for the summer and produce a mural for the campus. Submissions were reviewed and in the end, Jordan Simard was commissioned to produce his design “Play” for the school.

Currently, he is working out of a classroom in Durham College and will be finished some time in early August. If you have any suggestions for where you think the mural should go, e-mail Eric Dillane at savpcampuslife@dc-uoit.ca.

Your Student Association welcomes all newly enrolled UOIT students to the campus at Get Connected July 6th, 2007 in the Polonsky Commons.

Students were able to meet with their new faculty, talk with fellow students, get information about school services, take the UOIT University tour and learn about how they can get involved on campus through the Student Association, Women’s Centre, Street Fleet and Student Life.

Your Student Association invites all students to take part in their campus life experience but participating and encouraging others to get involved. Look for more upcoming campus events to learn more about what your campus can offer you.Currently, he is working out of a classroom in Durham College and will be finished some time in early August.
