Women’s Resource Centre
Your SA is committed to providing a safe, harassment-free, drop-in space for all women on campus. The Women’s Centre is funded by Your SA and volunteer driven. The Women’s Centre will provide support, referrals, resources and advocacy on issues of poverty, food security, health, violence, racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, classism, ableism and ageism, through our peer support program, food security programs, workshops and educational programming. The Women’s Centre will be dedicated to creating an antioppressive environment, promoting space for community gathering and the sharing of life experiences.
The Women’s Centre’s programming will be designed based on the needs of the students it serves and will include initiatives around health and childcare. The Women’s Centre will welcome ideas for building solidarity and a strong sense of community within an anti-oppression framework both on campus and in the wider community.
